Recent article from NYT about pediatric psychiatric emergencies. Glad to see the emphasis on preventative mental health care that can start long before a visit to the ER is needed. This includes screening in schools and doctors offices, and therapy before a crisis point is reached. More broadly, prevention includes addressing societal inequalities, strengthening welfare programs, and increasing access to healthcare.
