About Courtney
Courtney Crotty is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Her background includes school-based mental health, integrated pediatric behavioral health, and private practice. She enjoys helping children and families better understand what is happening beneath behaviors, strengthen their relationships, and feel more confident navigating big emotions and challenging seasons together.
Courtney’s approach is attachment-focused and grounded in the belief that children grow and heal through safe, connected relationships. She incorporates Synergetic Play Therapy, EMDR, and nervous system regulation to help children process experiences, build emotional awareness, and develop new ways of responding to the world around them. Her work is trauma-informed and considers the whole child, including their relationships, environment, developmental needs, and individual strengths.
Courtney believes parents and caregivers are an essential part of the therapeutic process. She works collaboratively with caregivers to better understand their child’s needs and the patterns that may be playing out within the family. Her style is warm and reflective, while also being comfortable stepping into a more active coaching role when families need practical tools, support, or a different way of approaching a challenging dynamic.
Above all, Courtney aims to create a space where children can show up as themselves and where caregivers feel supported rather than judged. She believes therapy can help families move away from simply managing behaviors and toward greater understanding, connection, and trust.
Outside of the therapy room, Courtney enjoys traveling, hiking, exploring Colorado, and spending time with her wife, friends, and family. She appreciates good food, new places, and any opportunity to be outside.
